Are You Ready - How to prepare for my own death
Special Training for the Rigpa sangha
Saturday 25 March | 9.00am-5.00pm AEDT
For someone who has prepared and practiced, death comes not as a defeat but as a
triumph, the crowning and most glorious moment of life.
~ Sogyal Rinpoche
From a spiritual point of view, the moment of death is considered to be the most important moment of our life. This one-day training presents some specific guidance and practice advice for understanding and preparing for death. We will look at how to prepare ourselves spiritually, emotionally and practically, using guided reflections, practical exercises and discussion. This training can help us prepare for our own death and to become a true source of support for each other on our spiritual journey through life and death.
This sangha training is part of the ‘Are You Ready?’ project. The ‘Are You Ready?’ website has a wealth of teachings and practices, as well as practical information on preparing for death, spiritual care after death, bereavement and supporting non-buddhist family and friends. Subscribing mandala students can access the website by going directly to www.areyouready.rigpa.org
Students who have done a Rigpa course or retreat and all Rigpa Mandala students, are warmly invited and encouraged to attend this special one day training, even if you have attended the course before.
