Spend time with your best self on  a journey from sadness and anger to peace and joy. The timeless wisdom and meditative insights of the Tibetan Buddhist tradition offer  many practical methods to help us heal and thrive as we face the everyday challenges of anxiety, depression, anger, physical pain, loneliness, and burnout.

This series of Saturday afternoon sessions offer an introduction to meditation and practical advice from some of the foremost Tibetan Buddhist teachers of our age. Applying these teachings can  help us meet the challenges of these difficult times, to heal ourselves, and to bring us to the core of our own peace, compassion and wisdom.

Led by Western meditation instructors with many years of experience, each session consists of:

  • Video teachings from Tibetan and Western Buddhist masters including Sogyal Rinpoche, Jetsün Khandro Rinpoche, Ringu Tulku Rinpoche, Mingyur Rinpoche, Pema Chödrön and Sharon Salzberg.
  • Meditation practice
  • Time for contemplation
  • Group discussions and Q&A, offering each student the opportunity to explore the teachings and practices in an open supportive environment and to connect with a community of practitioners.

Saturday 21 October - Forgiveness

To respond to being hurt with kindness and forgiveness is one of the most difficult things we can ever be called upon to do. Even though we may admire others for responding to someone who hurts them with love, when it’s our turn to be faced with a similar challenge, we still seem to respond with anger, anguish, depression, self-righteousness or hatred. Nevertheless, forgiving and letting go of past suffering really is the kindest thing we can do for ourselves. This session offers advice on how to apply the Buddhist compassion practices to reach a point of genuine forgiveness.

Saturday 28 October - Integrating meditation into your job and relationships

The main point is not to balance work, relationships and meditation. It is to come home to yourself. Just like His Holiness the Dalai Lama, we can become authentic in all situations. Life then, is not a balancing act, everything just flows.
