We feel the future dissolving in our hands.
We’ve lost the ability to be present with those we love.
There’s the insecurity of our own vulnerable health.
Friends or family may face death alone, and we are not there.
We were not able to say a good good-bye.
The bottom may be falling out on so many levels.
Grief is a natural response when someone close to us dies, yet often we are completely unprepared for the intense feelings and chaos that are unleashed. After someone has died, we long to find ways to show our love, or heal the relationship, but don’t know how. There are three things I’ve learned that help to ease grief: first – connection; second - finding a refuge; and third - having compassion for yourself. No matter how long ago your loved one has gone, here are meaningful tools that can support you emotionally, physically and spiritually.
The series of 4 workshops includes:
- The natural process of grief
- Methods for healing the relationship and saying good-bye
- The spiritual dimension of death
- Continuing bonds
- Finding a refuge or source of peace
- 4 strengths that help us handle and transform suffering
- Self-compassion meditations
- Spiritual practices for supporting the deceased
