This event will introduce the practice of mindfulness as it is taught in Buddhism and offer time to reflect and practice it ourselves. The Buddha taught mindfulness as a practice of wisdom, and as an inner journey of discovery that takes us to the heart of the Buddhist path.

You will experience first-hand how your mind works in creating its own reality, based on feelings, concepts, and habits, and how you can work to see through these projections until you have the wisdom to perceive things as they actually are. Through this, you will come to appreciate mindfulness as much more than a tool to improve your health or make you more efficient, and as much more than a way to reduce stress, anxiety and depression. It is a key practice on an inner journey which takes us from where we are right now to a state of mental peace and freedom where all our limitations have dissolved and we find lasting happiness and understanding.
