Saga Dawa Duchen at Lerab Ling including highlights from the naming ceremony

On Sunday 31 May, we celebrate Saga Dawa Düchen, one of the four great festival days in Buddhism which marks both Buddha Shakyamuni's enlightenment and his parinirvana. Together we can participate in a programme of practice, streamed live from Lerab Ling.

Saga Dawa is the fourth month of the Tibetan lunar calendar. It is considered to be the most important month of the year for practice since Buddha's birth, enlightenment and parinirvana all fall within this period (according to Tibetan tradition).

Born out of the heartfelt motivation to keep our sangha connected during the COVID pandemic and as an offering to the broader community free of charge, the 20 Minutes a Day started on 12 July 2021. We held two sessions each day and it started as a two-week trial.
