Rigpa Shedra Online

Where does my practice truly stand? What view is actually supporting and infusing my meditation, my compassion, my engagement with the teachings?

In this 16-session online course, Khenpo Tashi will offer a rare and practical exploration of the nine - or here ten - vehicles of the Nyingma tradition, examining how each vehicle is defined by its view — its understanding of the nature of reality — its motivation, and its approach to practice.

The Nyingma teaching on the nine — or here, ten — vehicles is not simply a comparative overview of different Buddhist schools as practised by different people. It is, above all, a map of how a single practitioner’s understanding deepens and broadens over the course of a lifetime of practice.

Rather than a scholarly comparison of philosophical systems, this course is an honest, practice-oriented invitation to situate ourselves on the path — clearly, humbly, and with a fresh perspective — and to understand how each vehicle naturally opens into the following one without contradiction. Recognising our own relationship to each of these views can help us bring our practice and our understanding of the path into greater harmony.

Format: 16 online live sessions, weekly, May/June and September/October 2026. Recordings will also be available and the course includes a weekly review session with a Western Rigpa Shedra Teacher/Instructor.

Prerequisites: established meditation practice, prior study of compassion and Lojong, prior exposure to Ngöndro, and having received a Vajrayāna empowerment after proper preparation.
