Message from Ringu Tulku Rinpoche

Dear Friends

Since I came back to India in November I’ve had a few ups and downs with my health. Recently in March I had a bad chest infection followed by some prostate issues. I am better now, but need further check ups and more treatment.

My teachers also instructed me to get some thorough treatment. I have therefore decided to cancel my proposed teaching tour in order to look after my health in a proper way for some time.

Remembering Zarna

“Where is Zarna?” That was often how Rinpoche opened Myall Lakes retreats, because having Zarna and her husband Anil ‘in the house’ seemed a good way to start.

Zarna Somaia was a long-term student of Rinpoche who attended the first Rigpa retreat in 1985 (along with Ian Gawler) and the 1993 Dzogchen 3-month retreat in Lerab Ling. She died on 29 March 2026.

Acknowledging Barbara Brooks

From time to time we like to acknowledge a senior sangha member who has had a long involvement in activity and made a real contribution to how things get done in our Rigpa sangha. Barbara Brooks is one of these people.

Many of us receive emails advising when the next Tendrel Nyesel tsok practice will take place. Sogyal Rinpoche has said many times that there is no better practice than Tendrel Nyesel for removing obstacles, averting the inauspiciousness of the times and fulfilling our aspirations.
